Dec 16, 2004· Mine is set up to run about 7 rpm. It may be slow but is very easy to use at that speed. When bumped with a foot switch it will move about 1/4 inch each time. I was thinking originally of an old varible speed reversible electric drill with a gas pedal and a reostat to run the speed. I don't beleive that it takes that much power to run anyway.
